We are pleased to announce that Christopher Wellbelove has been selected as our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the 2015 General Election. He was selected by members at our hustings and PPC selection meeting on 26th February 2015.

Christopher has been a councillor in Lambeth since 2006, where he served as Mayor in 2009-10. As an experienced campaigner known for standing up for residents and opposing government cuts, he has become a popular figure in the area who in successive elections has substantially increased his majority. Christopher also has a proven record  for taking on the Tories and winning. He has pledged to bring his enthusiasm and experience to Arundel & South Downs.

Following his selection, Christopher commented,"I am delighted to have been selected as Parliamentary candidate for Arundel & South Downs. I am honoured to have been chosen to represent Labour in what is set to be such a crucial and important General Election for the future of public services in this country. I am fully committed to this campaign, and look forward to listening to the concerns of voters and working with South Downs Labour members in the coming months."
