EU D Day 2016

EU D DAY 2016

So here we are; getting closer to a decision and it’s undeniable that corruption has been endemic in the corridors of power. Now Nations such as England, France, Germany and others are once more gearing up for a fight so what shall we do? There are those who say that we should turn our back on this myriad group of nations, but let’s hope that good sense prevails and that we will continue to play our part.

What’s that you say? The Referendum?  No, I’m talking about the Euro 2016 Footie in France. It has taken years of preparation and, despite old rivalries coming to the fore, new friends and relationships will undoubtedly be formed once more. The Nations of Europe will not allow the tactics of Michel Platini in UEFA or Sepp Blatter in FIFA to derail this momentous occasion and the ‘Show will Go On’ even as steps are taken to reform the institutions. That’s how it must be in the hallowed corridors of the European Union as well.

It seems to me that the EU Commission and Parliament are novices when compared to the ‘soccer shambles’ in UEFA and FIFA so I maintain that we should work and play together to achieve our goals in Euro-Footie and Euro-Brussels and REMAIN in both with a smile.

You might think that it’s all over…well, it will be soon!!
